Principal Security Operations Engineer

The Cloud & AI organization at Microsoft is seeking a Principal Security Operations Engineer to join their IAM Protect team. This role focuses on securing Microsoft's most critical cloud services by reducing risks in the Trusted Computing Base (TCB). The position combines technical depth in security engineering with program management skills to coordinate across teams and deliver scalable security solutions.

The ideal candidate will lead structured risk reduction campaigns, build and scale telemetry coverage across critical services, and drive cross-team initiatives. Key responsibilities include converting adversary tactics into prioritized cohorts, ensuring reliable security telemetry, investigating incidents, and applying AI/ML solutions for intelligent security operations.
