Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking a Senior Customer Experience Engineer to join their ACES Strategic team (Advanced Cloud Engineering & Supportability). This role is crucial in ensuring Microsoft Cloud customers receive world-class support and engineering expertise.

As a Senior Customer Experience Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of supporting Azure's strategic customers, working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and complex enterprise solutions. You'll serve as the primary engineering contact for customer support experience, driving resolution of critical problems and supporting key customer projects on Azure.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home flexibility, and involves collaboration with Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, and Azure engineering teams. You'll be responsible for incident management, problem resolution, and ensuring customer success with Azure services.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues in cloud environments
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship
  • Driving customer satisfaction through engineering-led support
  • Contributing to product improvement through customer feedback
  • Working with various Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, and data platforms

  • Track and troubleshoot customer incidents with focus on reducing mitigation time
  • Develop and share insights and best practices with customers
  • Mentor team members and contribute to content and readiness strategy
  • Serve as connection between product team and customers throughout engagement lifecycle
  • Handle complex escalations and conduct root cause analysis
  • Partner with other teams to resolve critical customer issues
  • Act as voice of customers and provide product feedback to product groups

Requirements For Senior Customer Experience Engineer - App Services

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics/Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
  • Experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, and/or customer experience engineering
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission-critical applications
  • Experience with being on-call and driving mitigation for critical incidents
  • Expertise in Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Data Platform)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
