Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking a Senior Customer Experience Engineer for their ACES Strategic team (Advanced Cloud Engineering & Supportability). This role focuses on supporting strategic Azure customers through incident management, problem resolution, and technical guidance.

As a Customer Experience Engineer, you'll be the primary engineering contact for customer support on Azure, working closely with Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, and Technical Support Engineers. The position involves handling critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and being the voice of the customer within Azure.

The role requires expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, and monitoring solutions. You'll need strong technical troubleshooting abilities and excellent communication skills to explain complex issues to various audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer incidents and providing technical troubleshooting
  • Developing customer insights and best practices
  • Conducting root cause analysis and driving improvements
  • Partnering with product teams to represent customer needs
  • Mentoring and contributing to team knowledge sharing

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home, comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and investment options. Travel requirement is 0-25%.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field
  • Experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission-critical applications
  • Experience with being on-call and driving mitigation for critical incidents
  • Expertise in Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Monitoring)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
