Senior Silicon Engineer

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Senior Silicon Engineer for their Data Processing Unit team. This role focuses on ASIC verification and silicon validation to solve complex datacenter problems.

The position involves working with the architecture team to develop programmable silicon implementations, leading key components of functional validation for complex ASIC SOC using UVM/C test bench, and performing pre-silicon SoC verification and post-silicon validation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing test plans and infrastructure for functional validation
• Running tests and debugging failures
• Creating stress and performance scenarios
• Participating in chip bring-up and firmware development
• Coaching and mentoring team members
• Working cross-functionally with architecture, design, and verification teams

The role offers exposure to various domains required for DPU silicon development, providing opportunities to tackle complex engineering problems and grow professionally. The position is part of Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure team, responsible for powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission.
