Senior Software Engineer

Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform (E+P) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cloud Security team within the Enterprise and Security organization. This role is based in Redmond, WA with a hybrid work arrangement allowing up to 50% work from home.

The position sits within a globally distributed team responsible for creating Microsoft's most reliable and trustworthy OS and platform services. The Cloud Security team specifically focuses on developing cutting-edge data protection, hardening, and cryptography features such as Bitlocker, KeyGuard, SecureBoot, Code Integrity, and HVCI.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to shipping platform security features across the Cloud Security team scope
• Drive critical scenarios across the Cloud & AI organization
• Mentor other developers and lead engineering initiatives
• Work on the Platform Integrity team ensuring system components' security through features like Secure Boot, Code Integrity, and Smart App Control

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of technical engineering experience, particularly in cloud computing and distributed systems. Strong coding skills in languages like C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript are essential.
