Job Description

Microsoft's ModeDS (Motion Development and Design Systems) team is seeking a Senior UX Engineer to help craft high-quality, consistent experiences across Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner, and Engage. This role sits uniquely between Design and Engineering, tackling UX challenges holistically in the era of AI transformation.

The position involves collaborating with cross-functional partners including Product Design, Research, Engineering and Product Management teams. You'll be responsible for developing features with a focus on accessibility and polish, while helping evolve design-to-code workflows through new tooling and automation systems. The goal is to create deeper efficiencies in the system and bridge the gap between Design and Engineering.

The team culture is inclusive, casual, and high-energy, bringing together diverse backgrounds and skillsets focused on customer needs. The role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to work with your manager to define your preferred work setup - whether in office or from home. This represents an exceptional opportunity to impact products used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

The compensation is competitive, with a base pay range of $119,800 - $234,700 per year (higher in SF Bay Area and NYC), plus comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, investment options, and parental leave. The role requires 0-25% travel and offers hybrid working arrangements with up to 50% work from home flexibility.

As part of Microsoft's mission to empower global achievement, you'll work in an environment that promotes growth mindset, innovation, and collaborative goal achievement, while maintaining strong values of respect, integrity, and accountability.
