Job Description

Microsoft's Office 365 Enterprise Cloud team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to work on their government cloud service offerings. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of feature quality, security, reliability, availability, and performance for Microsoft's largest enterprise and government customers.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to upgrade to include polygraph. As an SRE, you'll be responsible for identifying and delivering software improvements, working with large-scale cloud systems, and ensuring services meet strict government customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating, testing, and deploying changes through safe deployment processes
  • Leveraging cloud technologies and telemetry data to improve system reliability
  • Participating in on-call rotations and incident response
  • Developing monitoring tools and automation for large-scale systems
  • Collaborating with product engineering teams on code/design reviews

The role offers competitive compensation ($100,600 - $199,000 base salary, higher in SF/NYC areas) and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and parental leave. This position requires 0-25% travel and supports Microsoft's cloud-first strategy through the Office 365 platform.
