Microsoft Leap's Neurodiversity Hiring Program is a unique 16-week immersive experience designed specifically for neurodiverse candidates looking to enter the technology industry. This program, part of Microsoft's broader initiative to create unconventional entry points for diverse talent, combines classroom learning with hands-on engineering projects on real Microsoft products and teams.

As a Software Engineer intern in this program, you'll work from January 19th to May 8th, 2026, engaging in full-time (40 hours/week) work that combines practical engineering experience with structured learning. The program specifically caters to individuals with cognitive differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia, recognizing and embracing their unique strengths and perspectives.

The role involves working directly on Microsoft's products, where you'll apply engineering principles to solve complex problems, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, and contribute to real software development projects. You'll have the opportunity to learn and implement new technologies while working in a supportive team environment that understands and accommodates neurodivergent working styles.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $67,320 to $144,360 annually (depending on location), with higher ranges for San Francisco and New York City areas.
