Solution Engineer Cloud & AI Software

Microsoft is seeking a Solution Engineer Cloud & AI Software to help shape the future of software engineering with AI. This role sits at the intersection of developer tools and artificial intelligence, helping enterprise developers leverage Microsoft's AI-powered developer stack.

As a Solution Engineer, you'll work directly with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate adoption of GitHub, Visual Studio, and Azure AI Foundry through hands-on engagements. You'll conduct proof of concepts, hackathons, code-with sessions and architecture workshops to demonstrate value and drive implementation.

The role requires deep technical expertise in modern software development practices, cloud-native architectures, and AI-assisted development tools. You'll guide customers through secure, scalable solution design while maintaining trusted relationships with developers and platform leads. Key responsibilities include leading technical sales engagements, resolving complex technical challenges, and representing Microsoft through thought leadership.

This position offers the opportunity to shape how AI transforms the developer experience, working with cutting-edge tools like GitHub Copilot and Azure AI. You'll help customers modernize their software development lifecycle while maintaining deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, APIs, containers, and microservices.

The ideal candidate brings several years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, strong programming skills in languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C# or Java, and the ability to influence technical strategy through community engagement. German and/or French language skills are required for this Switzerland-based role.
