Responsibilities For Senior II Controls Engineer (Instrumentation)
- Lead development and implementation of IEC 61131-3 standard PLC programs and interactive user interfaces
- Lead cross functional projects for system/unit root cause and failure analysis
- Lead design, specification, and verification of controls system components
- Oversee collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management
- Oversee development of production procedures, instructions and testing standards
- Lead collaboration with suppliers and vendors
- Lead projects to evaluate component performance through various test phases
- Oversee development of test protocols and design verification testing
- Lead software/hardware system integration and commissioning initiatives
- Provide expert level technical guidance and coaching to team members
Requirements For Senior II Controls Engineer (Instrumentation)
- 4-year degree in relevant electrical discipline (Controls Systems, Electrical, Electronics or similar)
- 6-8+ years of experience in controls, electrical, instrumentations, or relevant discipline
- Expert level proficiency with PLC or embedded system programming
- Expert level proficiency with Ethernet Networking and industrial communication protocols
- Experience in designing and troubleshooting control panels and PCB design
- Experience with CODESYS and HMI design (asset)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional engineer (P.Eng) registration in BC or eligibility required
- Legally able to work in Canada
