Description For Software Engineer, Security

Mistral AI is at the forefront of AI innovation, developing high-performance, open-source models and enterprise AI solutions. They're seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to join their Engineering team in a hybrid work environment across multiple European locations.

The role combines traditional software engineering (80%) with security-focused responsibilities (20%), making it an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about both areas. You'll be instrumental in deploying and optimizing AI models, building robust infrastructure, and ensuring security best practices across the organization.

As a Security Software Engineer, you'll work on critical aspects of Mistral's technology stack, including model deployment, real-time streaming services, and cloud infrastructure management. You'll collaborate with research, product, and program management teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions for customers using Mistral's frontier models.

The position offers a unique blend of technical challenges, from optimizing large-scale distributed systems to implementing security measures for AI applications. You'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable launch of new models while maintaining high availability and performance standards.

The company offers an attractive benefits package including competitive compensation with equity, health insurance, various allowances, and flexible work arrangements. They maintain a collaborative, low-ego culture across their international offices, with teams distributed across France, USA, UK, Germany, and Singapore.

This role is perfect for a seasoned engineer with a security mindset who wants to impact the future of AI technology while working with cutting-edge models and systems. The position requires monthly visits to their offices, with the first month of onboarding taking place at their Paris HQ (with accommodation and travel covered).
