We're seeking an AI Engineer to join our expanding AI team in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies, including multimodal Large Language Models (LLMs), while making a direct impact on business operations.

The position combines machine learning modeling, infrastructure scaling, and AI engineering, with a primary focus on document extraction and understanding. You'll be responsible for training and deploying in-house multimodal LLMs, scaling inference infrastructure, and building AI agent workflows. Key projects include improving the throughput of our inference engine through continuous batching, developing methods to fine-tune multimodal LLMs to reduce hallucinations, and building AI agents for freight invoice auditing.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience in deep learning or recent graduates from top computer science programs. The role offers exposure to multiple domains, including ML modeling, ML infrastructure, AI engineering, and backend development. Working in a hybrid setting at our San Francisco office, you'll be at the forefront of applying AI to solve real-world logistics challenges.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $130,000 to $200,000. MLabs is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, offering equal opportunities to all candidates.
