This hybrid role combines data platform engineering with visualization platform administration, focusing on Tableau and Spotfire. The role involves building secure, scalable data infrastructure, developing ETL/ELT workflows, and managing AWS-based systems. You'll work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to enable data-driven decision-making. The position requires expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS services, along with experience in visualization tools.

Responsibilities For Data Engineering and Visualization Engineer

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data platform components such as ingestion SDKs, access control systems, APIs, and discovery tools
  • Develop and manage robust ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from diverse sources
  • Establish and oversee AWS-based infrastructure ensuring high availability, security, and observability
  • Collaborate within cross-functional squads to deliver product-aligned features
  • Own CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, testing, and production debugging
  • Administer and support Tableau and Spotfire platforms, managing provisioning, user groups, and permissions
  • Implement and monitor role-based access control (RBAC) in compliance with data governance standards

Requirements For Data Engineering and Visualization Engineer

Python
  • 2 years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or data visualization platform administration
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EMR, and RDS
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, and SQL
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Spotfire
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub, Docker), and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
