Senior Engineer - Onboarding

Mollie is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Java Engineer to join their growing team in Milan, Italy. As a Senior Java Engineer in the Onboarding domain, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a seamless and efficient onboarding experience for merchants while assessing their risk level in a frictionless manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the development of the new Onboarding flow end-to-end, from ideation to implementation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including product managers, designers, and other engineers
• Contribute to company-wide architecture & technology practices
• Mentor and guide other engineers
• Challenge ideas and bring your own to foster innovation

Technical Environment:

• Backend: Primarily Java (Spring Boot), with some core services in PHP
• Deployment: Continuous deployment to Google Cloud
• Frontend: TypeScript using React (Native)

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in developing large-scale web applications
• Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot)
• Passion for building high-quality, user-centric products
• Track record of leading complex cross-functional or cross-team initiatives
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture patterns and building scalable systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with PHP, TypeScript, React (Native)
• Experience with Temporal
• Experience working in FinTech or high-scale B2B SaaS space
