Job Description

Moog is seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join their team in Carrigaline, Ireland. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge motor controller products in an EN9100 environment. The position involves designing and developing hardware solutions for Moog's servo-drive products, focusing on analog, digital, and power electronics.

The ideal candidate will be part of a multi-site development team, participating in all aspects of the hardware lifecycle from requirements definition to integration and testing. This role requires a strong background in electronics/electrical engineering with at least 10 years of experience. The position demands excellent technical skills combined with strong communication abilities to interact with customers and team members effectively.

Responsibilities For Engineer, Snr Electronic Design

  • Design & development of hardware (analog, digital and power electronics) for servo-drive products
  • Ensure products meet performance specifications, cost & reliability targets
  • Ensure compliance with required regulatory standards
  • Design for manufacture & test (DFM & DFT)
  • Participate in all aspects of hardware life cycle
  • Participate in design reviews and business reviews
  • Work towards achieving defined project goals/milestones
  • Provide on-site customer support when needed
  • Maintain up to date knowledge/expertise in current state of the art

Requirements For Engineer, Snr Electronic Design

  • Minimum 2nd Class (Hons) degree or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Problem identification, analysis and problem solving abilities
  • Results oriented and deadline driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior customers, management and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
