This role sits within their Technology Infrastructure and Operations (TIO) division, working alongside Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) and Enterprise Information Security (EIS).

The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $173,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid parental leave. The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring four days in office and one day remote.

As a Container Platform Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining MUFG's Kubernetes and OpenShift-based container platform, which is a crucial component of their Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure. The role combines software engineering, security engineering, and site reliability engineering principles to enhance application development experience and platform operations.

Key responsibilities include implementing automated containerized cloud solutions, managing high-availability infrastructure, and working closely with application teams to architect and implement solutions. You'll be expected to leverage deep technical expertise in areas such as networking, storage, virtualization, and security to ensure robust system resilience.

The ideal candidate should bring 5+ years of systems engineering experience with OpenShift Container Platform, strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible, and proven experience with AWS EKS. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and ArgoCD is essential, as is familiarity with security tools like RedHat Advanced Cluster Security.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of financial technology, implementing modern cloud-native solutions while contributing to the digital transformation of a global financial leader. The position combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, as you'll be involved in executive-level planning and cross-team collaboration.
