This role is crucial in supporting their data strategy and delivering critical business outcomes.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with four days in the office and one day remote, providing a balance between collaborative work and flexibility. The salary range is competitive at $110,000 - $134,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

As a Data Pipeline Developer, you'll be at the forefront of MUFG's data transformation journey, working with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Snowflake, and various big data tools. The role involves significant interaction with stakeholders across all lines of business, including Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining complex ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality and integrity, and implementing secure and scalable data solutions. You'll work with both cloud and on-premises stacks, handling large-scale data warehouse projects and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on experience with data warehouse projects, strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and extensive knowledge of cloud platforms. Experience with financial services data domains is highly valued, as is expertise in metadata-driven architecture and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities For Data Pipeline Developer, Assistant Vice President

  • Work with data architects and analysts to understand business requirements and objectives
  • Function as data and integration SME
  • Develop, test, and maintain complex ETL/ELT mappings, workflows, and scripts
  • Investigate and troubleshoot failures and data issues
  • Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions
  • Perform testing activities including DUT/SIT/UAT/DR/regression
  • Handle user inquiries and production support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with complex data warehouse and pipeline projects
  • 3+ years of experience with Data Lake Infrastructure and Analytics tools

  • 3+ years of experience in SQL optimization and Python/PySpark/Scala
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Glue)

  • 2+ years experience with job/workflow management tools
