Description For n8n Community Engineer (Remote Europe)

n8n is seeking a Community Engineer to join their rapidly growing team in a remote capacity across Europe. The role focuses on supporting community-driven development by managing GitHub issues, fixing bugs, and reviewing community contributions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Nodes team to improve the quality and velocity of community contributions. Key responsibilities include triaging GitHub issues, maintaining node quality, reviewing community pull requests, and streamlining contribution workflows. This position requires strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, GitHub proficiency, and excellent debugging abilities.

Responsibilities For n8n Community Engineer (Remote Europe)

  • Triage GitHub issues, investigate, and label them appropriately
  • Fix small and medium bugs, especially in community-reported nodes
  • Review community PRs and node submissions for quality and consistency
  • Reproduce and fix bugs in nodes with external dependencies
  • Help reduce backlog of unresolved issues
  • Prevent regressions by improving test coverage
  • Identify ways to automate or streamline common community tasks
  • Ensure community contributors get timely feedback
