Job Description

NAVBLUE, an Airbus subsidiary, is seeking a skilled Software Developer specializing in Cloud Services to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital aviation by working on industry-leading flight operations solutions.

The position requires a seasoned developer with at least 5 years of experience to work on next-generation services for commercial aviation customers. As a developer advocate, you'll collaborate with multiple development teams, focusing on AWS infrastructure components and cloud services implementation. The role involves designing and managing cloud infrastructure, developing Infrastructure-as-Code, and optimizing cloud operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably with AWS certification or willingness to obtain it. You'll be part of a matrixed organization with Tribes and Chapters, working in an agile environment. The role offers significant technical challenges and leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities For Software Developer, Cloud Services

  • Support design, deployment, and management of AWS infrastructure components
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, and security
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and streamline cloud operations
  • Manage cloud cost controls and propose optimizations
  • Evaluate and maintain AWS infrastructure
  • Optimize usage patterns and recommend improvements

Requirements For Software Developer, Cloud Services

  • At least five years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience designing, developing, launching and maintaining cloud-integrated services
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer certification (or willingness to earn within first year)
  • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication in English
