Description For Industrial IoT Integrations Engineer

Ndustrial, a Series B company, is seeking an Industrial IoT Integrations Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in designing and implementing solutions for clients to optimize energy intensity in industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and expertise in industrial communication protocols, IoT technologies, and software deployment tools.

As an IIoT Integrations Engineer, you'll be responsible for scoping projects, creating design documents, deploying hardware/software integration solutions, and providing technical support to clients. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies to help industrial facilities measure and improve their carbon footprint, energy spend, and profitability.

Responsibilities For Industrial IoT Integrations Engineer

  • Scope projects based on client meetings and site surveys
  • Draw schematics and create project documentation
  • Create proposals to demonstrate solution implementation and evaluate cost
  • Deploy integration solutions, including both hardware and software
  • Develop testing and commissioning plans for implemented solutions
  • Troubleshoot system errors
  • Provide clients with technical support
  • Support communications design
  • Support commissioning of systems (installation verification, data validation, data provisioning)

Requirements For Industrial IoT Integrations Engineer

Linux
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Profibus, etc)
  • Experience with IoT protocols and tools (MQTT, HTTP, Node-RED, Ignition Edge)
  • Experience with IoT edge hardware (Linux OS, RevPi, Opto22, JACE, physical I/O)
  • Knowledge of modern software deployment tools (Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of software best practices (version control, GitHub, credential storage)
  • Expertise with industrial SCADA/DCS/PLC/Historian Systems
  • Strong networking skills for IT/OT networks (SSH, IP subnetting, firewalls)
  • Strong background working with common security protocols
  • Electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred
  • Applicable industry experience would include industrial refrigeration control systems (Ammonia, CO2, Freon), energy monitoring, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to travel when required, up to 50-75%
