Netflix, the world's leading entertainment service with 300M+ members across 190+ countries, is seeking an Analytics Engineer (L5) for their Consumer Insights DSE team. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and consumer analytics, focusing on developing and maintaining data pipelines that transform survey, social, and behavioral data into actionable insights. The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $720,000, with the unique Netflix approach of choosing your preferred mix of salary and stock options.

The role combines technical expertise with business impact, requiring strong SQL and Python skills while working closely with researchers, engineers, and data scientists. You'll be responsible for building scalable data solutions that help answer Netflix's most complex business challenges through consumer-driven analytics. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge research tools and methodologies as part of a 90+ person global research team.

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for survey, social, and behavioral data
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Conduct actionable, statistically sound analyses and research
  • Create intuitive visual dashboards with high business impact
  • Take ownership of existing dashboards and data tools
  • Collaborate with Researchers, Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Develop data-driven stories through data visualization
  • Identify, compute, and validate appropriate data sources and metrics

Requirements For Analytics Engineer (L5) - Consumer Insights DSE

  • Highly fluent in SQL for working with big data
  • Proficient with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience in engineering data pipelines and orchestrating workflows
