Job Description
Netflix, a global entertainment leader with 300M+ subscribers, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Revenue Infrastructure team. This role focuses on streamlining revenue financial workflows, handling revenue operations for all Netflix customers. You'll work on critical projects including revenue ads integration, settlement, cash reconciliation, and partner workflows.
The position requires expertise in distributed systems, data processing, and financial technology. You'll be building scalable architectures handling massive data volumes and configurable pipelines for global financial operations. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of software engineering experience, strong knowledge of JVM languages, and background in financial solutions.
Working remotely, you'll collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to design and implement robust financial systems. Netflix offers a unique compensation structure with flexible salary-to-stock options ratio, ranging from $100,000 to $700,000 annually.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer 4 - Revenue Finance Infrastructure
- Design and evolve architectures that can handle massive data
- Build highly configurable pipelines to support global workflows for complex financial functions
- Work with Product Managers, cross-functional engineering teams, and Revenue Finance
- Build distributed applications that are secure, scalable, and highly available
- Build deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes
Requirements For Software Engineer 4 - Revenue Finance Infrastructure
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge with server-side expertise
- Strong background in distributed data processing, software engineering design, and data modeling concepts
- Proficient in Java, Scala, or any other JVM language
- Experience with Pub-Sub (Kafka), Stream Processing (Spark/Flink, etc)
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Background in building financial or payment solutions
- Experience with privacy, compliance, and governance in advertising space
