Job Description

Netflix, the global entertainment leader with 300M+ subscribers, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Games Platform team in Warsaw. This role focuses on the Games Lifecycle domain, serving as a founding member of the Poland expansion. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on development, working on foundational Game Platform services that bridge Gaming with Netflix technologies.

The role sits within the Games Platform team, which is divided into three crucial areas: Member/Player Focused (SDK/API teams), Games Lifecycle (onboarding to sunset lifecycle for game developers), and Foundational Excellence (integration engineering, quality engineering, and SREs). As a technical leader, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Netflix's gaming infrastructure while acting as a cross-functional bridge between teams.

The ideal candidate is a "key-shaped" engineer capable of both broad and deep technical expertise across multiple domains. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment that values experimentation and iteration, building production-quality software using various technologies from Frontend (JavaScript, React) to Backend (Java/Kotlin, Python, Go).   • Lead technical investments for technology transition of newly formed teams
  • Set technical direction for future investments in the Games Lifecycle space
  • Partner with product management and design for tooling and infrastructure alignment
  • Ensure technical direction is compatible with product direction
  • Collaborate with technical leaders across Tools, Operations, Publishing, Promotion, and Production lifecycle
  • Mentor individuals and build IC technical community across Games Engineering

  • Experience building tools and systems for enterprise consumers
