As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you'll join a critical function focused on monitoring and maintaining data processing pipelines for customers. The role combines technical expertise in cloud operations, automation, and system monitoring with a focus on ensuring data reliability and operational excellence.

You'll work in a hybrid environment (2 days office, 3 days remote) with highly talented engineers and architects on cutting-edge technology. The position requires strong skills in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and database technologies, with responsibilities ranging from system monitoring to automation development. You'll be responsible for ensuring timely data processing, identifying and addressing data gaps, and maintaining high system reliability.

Responsibilities For Cloud Operations Engineer

  • Daily monitoring of systems to ensure customer data is processed correctly
  • Ensuring timely data processing (T+1 or T+5 for weekly arriving data)
  • Reviewing data ingestion and alert generation using automated scripts
  • Executing manual monitoring tasks for new use cases until automation is implemented
  • Identifying data gaps and raising cases to appropriate internal teams
  • Performing trend analysis and communicating with stakeholders
  • Automating tasks using Python, Perl, and PowerShell scripting
  • Managing change processes and deployment plans
  • Creating and maintaining a technical knowledge base
  • Providing hands-on support for AWS/Azure environments
  • Building internal tools and utilities to optimize operations
  • Providing on-call support and working in a 24×7 shift environment
