Description For Windows/C++ Developer

This role is part of a team developing software that runs on over 100k computers worldwide, measuring panelists' activities as they surf the Internet. The software meter is optimized to be unintrusive yet able to gather many biometric data points and send them back to a cloud-based collection system.

As the Windows OS Staff SW Engineer, you will lead the development efforts for industry-leading, Windows-based meters. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Meter Deployment: Conceive, design, and build new features in the existing Windows-based software meter.
  2. CI/CD Implementation: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  3. Code Quality and Best Practices: Enforce coding standards and conduct code reviews.
  4. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in both client-side and data upload components.
  5. Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  6. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Windows client development using C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (GitLab a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in guiding technical decisions and mentoring team members.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
