Description For Systems Engineer

Northstrat is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their prototype solution team focusing on space-to-ground systems integration for National Customers. The role involves full lifecycle Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) of mission software applications, requiring expertise in translating user and mission needs into software features.

The position demands a self-starter who can handle loosely defined tasks and support the development team in delivering high-quality solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable software applications, collaborating with the development team, and participating in agile ceremonies.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in STEM, and must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access. The role requires expertise in space-to-ground systems, software testing, and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Linux environments.

Responsibilities For Systems Engineer

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable software applications
  • Collaborate with development team to define, design, and implement features
  • Perform and participate in agile ceremonies throughout software development lifecycle
  • Support entire product lifecycle including systems engineering documentation, requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, test, deployment

Requirements For Systems Engineer

Linux
  • Active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access and polygraph (TS/SCI with poly)
  • 100% on-site, in-person work performance
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with space-to-ground systems, architecture, and interfaces
  • Experience with testing software applications
  • Experience using Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, Zephyr
  • Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) processes
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and command line
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
