Description For Chemical and Materials Engineer – Immersion Technologist

We are seeking a highly motivated Chemical and/or Materials Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The role focuses on developing immersion cooling systems for NVIDIA's next-generation GPU and DGX products. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing cooling system testing procedures
  2. Establishing performance thresholds and mitigation strategies
  3. Ensuring compatibility between immersion fluids and wetted materials
  4. Collaborating on laboratory testing specifications and vendor management
  5. Supporting NVIDIA customers investigating immersion cooling

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical and/or Material Science Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Expertise in immersion cooling systems, chemistry, and materials science
  • Knowledge of mechanical, thermal, and electrical designs for servers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multi-functional teams

Responsibilities For Chemical and Materials Engineer – Immersion Technologist

  • Develop cooling system testing procedures for evaluating performance and compatibility of cooling fluids and wetted materials
  • Establish performance thresholds and develop mitigation strategies
  • Conduct analyses to ensure compatibility between immersion fluids and wetted materials
  • Collaborate on laboratory testing specifications and scopes of work
  • Lead laboratory testing vendors in alignment with NVIDIA's requirements
  • Provide expert support to NVIDIA customers investigating immersion cooling

Requirements For Chemical and Materials Engineer – Immersion Technologist

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical and/or Material Science Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience minimum
  • Knowledge of immersion cooling tank design and 2 phase immersion boiler plate / heat spreader plate design
  • Strong expertise in chemistry and materials science, particularly for immersion cooling systems
  • Experience in developing and implementing testing procedures for fluids and materials
  • Knowledge of mechanical, thermal, and electrical designs for servers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
