NVIDIA, the world leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a Senior Calibre CAD Engineer to join their Advanced Technology Group. This role combines technical expertise with critical support functions in the development and maintenance of foundry techfiles and CAD tools. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge process technologies at a company pioneering AI and digital twins technology.

The role requires deep technical knowledge in Calibre and programming, particularly Perl and Cadence SKILL. You'll be responsible for supporting IC designers worldwide, debugging complex technical issues, and developing productivity-enhancing workflows. The position demands both strong technical abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, as you'll be interfacing with designers, foundry support teams, and EDA partners.

The compensation is competitive, with a base salary range of $136,000 - $264,500 depending on level and experience, plus equity and benefits.

Responsibilities For Senior Calibre CAD Engineer

  • Install, configure, and support foundry techfiles
  • Perform expert debug of design errors
  • Custom edit foundry techfiles to define and implement NVIDIA design methodologies
  • Support and maintain CAD tools used by IC designers
  • Work with CAD tool vendors to identify and resolve bugs
  • Develop infrastructure to support design work in new process technologies
  • Write scripts using perl and Cadence SKILL

Requirements For Senior Calibre CAD Engineer

Linux
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (MS preferred)
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Basic understanding of mosfet device behavior, CMOS layout, and VLSI design
  • Excellent programming skills; experience with perl, Cadence SKILL
  • Expertise in Calibre
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about providing excellent support for end-users
