Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join their CSP Engagements team, focusing on system software for Datacenter products such as GB200. This role represents a unique opportunity at the intersection of hardware and software, combining deep technical expertise in embedded firmware development with customer-facing responsibilities. The position involves working with cloud service providers to enable next-generation computing platforms.

The role demands expertise in data center server architectures, embedded firmware, and hardware-software co-design. You'll be responsible for developing firmware solutions for data center servers, participating in hardware bring-up activities, and working with various protocols including Redfish, PLDM, and MCTP. The position requires strong debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex GPU firmware issues.

As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll work directly with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to deliver technical solutions, co-develop features, and provide support during new product introductions. The role requires 8-12 years of system software development experience and deep knowledge of embedded systems and server management controllers.

NVIDIA offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $184,000 - $356,500 USD (depending on level), plus equity and comprehensive benefits.   • Design and develop firmware solutions for manageability and observability of data center servers
  • Participate in hardware bring-up activities, OOB firmware development, protocol stacks
  • Debug and troubleshoot NVIDIA GPU firmware issues
  • Partner directly with CSPs to deliver technical solutions
  • Perform advanced system debugging and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with AE, FAE, and Solution Architect teams

Requirements For Senior Firmware Engineer – CSP Engagements

  • Deep expertise in data center server architectures and HPC systems
  • Deep expertise in embedded firmware and server management controllers
  • Strong knowledge of DMTF protocols
  • Expert-level skills in C/C++ in resource-constrained embedded environments
  • Experience with RAS including error handling
  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8-12 years of system software development experience
