NVIDIA, the world leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer to join their team focused on maintaining and improving energy efficiency across their product line. The position involves working with NVIDIA's cutting-edge GPUs and Tegra SOCs, where you'll be responsible for analyzing fullchip and unit-level power data while driving ASIC teams to enhance their units' power efficiency. You'll be developing and implementing methodologies that help make NVIDIA's products more energy efficient, which is crucial to the company's competitive advantage.

As a senior engineer in this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse team of Architects, Performance Engineers, Software Engineers, ASIC Design Engineers, and Physical Design teams. Your work will directly impact the energy consumption optimization of graphics and artificial intelligence workloads, allowing you to influence architectural, design, and power management improvements.

The role offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary ranging from $168,000 to $310,500 USD, depending on level and experience. Responsibilities For Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer

  • Use internally developed tools and industry standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools
  • Develop and share best practices for performing pre-silicon power analysis
  • Perform comparative power analysis to spot trends and anomalies
  • Interact with architects and RTL designers to help interpret power data and identify power bugs
  • Select and run workloads for power analysis
  • Prototype new architectural features in Verilog and analyze power
  • Automate flows and define new flows for Power anomaly detection
  • Use AI to develop Power optimization solutions

Requirements For Senior Power Architecture and Optimization Engineer

Python
  • MS (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of experience or PhD in related fields
  • Strong understanding of energy consumption, estimation, data movement and low power design
  • Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles, including Power Artist, PTPX
  • Good verbal/written English and interpersonal skills
  • Strong coding/automation skills in Python, Perl, and C++
  • Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics
