Job Description

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Automotive System Validation Engineer to join their team in Gratkorn, Austria. This role focuses on developing and executing system-level test cases for automotive products, particularly in NFC and Circular Economy (IoT) solutions. The position combines both software and hardware aspects of validation engineering.

The role involves working with a team of software and hardware experts to ensure product quality through comprehensive testing. Key responsibilities include implementing hardware setups, developing test frameworks, creating and automating test cases, and supporting debugging efforts. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in embedded firmware development, particularly in C programming, with additional experience in C# and Python.

  • Definition and implementation of HW Setups and Lab Environments
  • Definition and implementation of new features of test frameworks
  • Definition and implementation of system test cases, test firmware and test drivers
  • Execution and automation of system test cases
  • Support of hardware and software experts while debugging identified issues
  • Creating effort estimates for deliverables
  • Contribution in risk-assessment based selection of test strategies
  • Documenting and presenting results
