Job Description

NXP Semiconductors, a global leader in secure connectivity solutions for embedded applications, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for Digital Hardware Design and Verification Engineering. This role, based in Gratkorn, offers hands-on experience with advanced Digital Design and Verification methodology, focusing on System HW/SW co-design and HDL languages. The intern will work with cutting-edge EDA tools while developing skills in Digital Signal Processing design and verification techniques within NFC Modem development.

The position offers a comprehensive learning environment where interns will gain practical experience with NFC Standards and products, DSP algorithms, RISC-V ISA, and top-class EDA Tools. The role requires at least 16 hours per week on-site commitment and offers a competitive hourly rate of EUR 17 gross.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields who have a foundation in DSP concepts, Linux OS, and HDL languages. Responsibilities For Internship: Digital HW Design and Verification Engineer

  • Analyze and understand tasks assigned by mentor
  • Prepare implementation proposals and review with mentor
  • Implement requested tasks using incremental test and release approach
  • Maintain well-versioned and documented work database
  • Generate documentation when necessary

Requirements For Internship: Digital HW Design and Verification Engineer

Linux
  • Ongoing studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatics or similar
  • Basic knowledge of DSP concepts and tools (Matlab, Numpy, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux OS and/or bash/tcsh scripting
  • Basic knowledge of Verilog or VHDL
  • Basic knowledge of Version Control Systems (e.g. SVN, GIT)
  • Knowledge of C and Python languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of RISC-V ISA is a plus
  • Solid English skills (speaking and writing)
  • Autonomous, reliable, team-oriented and self-driven working style
  • Available on site at least 16 hours/week
