NXP Semiconductors, a global leader in secure connectivity solutions for embedded applications, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their team in Chandler, AZ. This role sits at the intersection of hardware and software, focusing on semiconductor engineering design and verification.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technology in semiconductor design, particularly focusing on mixed-signal circuit designs and verification. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining UVM simulation environments, ensuring quality through comprehensive testing and verification processes, and collaborating with design leaders to define IP test specifications.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering, with strong expertise in ARM processors, various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART), and System Verilog. Responsibilities For Principal Engineer

  • Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing
  • Participate in digital functional verification of mixed-signal circuit designs
  • Develop UVM simulation environment
  • Develop and run digital and top-level simulations
  • Collaborate with design leaders to define IP test specification
  • Study specification of device under test and ensure 100% coverage
  • Create and maintain regression test suites
  • Report bugs and propose solutions
  • Prepare and hold design verification review

Requirements For Principal Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 5 years of progressive experience
  • Experience with ARM processor with multi-processor interaction
  • Knowledge of Serial communication protocol (I2C,SPI,SPMI,UART)
  • Experience with SOC Testbench
  • System Verilog expertise
  • UVM Verification experience
  • Experience with GLS simulations and debug features
  • ASIC design verification experience
  • Regression management and artifact tracking
  • C-based test development experience
  • SPI interface knowledge
