The Oracle SaaS Engineering organization builds and operates the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications service, a complete suite of enterprise SaaS applications with embedded AI running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for designing and building systems that deliver industry-leading availability and performance for Oracle's SaaS services. We're seeking a seasoned engineering leader to grow and lead a team focused on improving availability and resiliency for SaaS services. The role involves architecting high-availability solutions across infrastructure, database, platform, and application services. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, vision, and strategy for service delivery while building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. Requirements For Engineering Director, Middleware, SaaS Engineering
- MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
- 12+ years experience in software engineering environment
- 8+ years in leading engineering for large cloud platform services
- Strong experience in Design and architecture of distributed systems in the cloud
- Experience in developing Observability Pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in collaborative, agile DevOps development environment
- Experience in leading teams that have delivered successful SaaS and PaaS products
