As a Principal Data Scientist, you'll join our team to modernize OHAI's Revenue Cycle product portfolio with AI-native applications. This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud applications from the ground up, working with cutting-edge technology in healthcare solutions.
You'll be working on challenging problems such as medical language learning, autonomous coding and billing, semantic search, and contract interpretation. The role combines the excitement of a startup environment with the stability of Oracle, offering the chance to make significant technical and business impact. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop state-of-the-art models using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities For Principal Data Scientist - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure
- Design and develop medical language learning solutions through language models
- Develop medical code and group code using large language models
- Work on contract interpretation
- Transform rules and workflows into decision trees using deep learning ML models
- Implement risk detection/anomaly detection using deep learning ML models
- Design and optimize RAG models for information retrieval
- Fine-tune large language models for healthcare use cases
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate ML models into production systems
Requirements For Principal Data Scientist - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related experience
- 8 years of experience in data science
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
- Solid understanding of NLP fundamentals
- Expertise in developing RAG models and fine-tuning large language models
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity and strong sense of ownership
- Experience taking a product or platform from 0 to 1
