Principal Site Reliability Engineer (DBA)

Oracle is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer (DBA) to join their Cloud Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring 24x7x365 availability of Oracle's Database services. As an SRE, you'll be directly responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving service issues while collaborating with engineering teams to enhance telemetry and automation.

The position combines traditional DBA expertise with modern SRE practices, requiring deep knowledge of Oracle Database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools. You'll work on complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent issue recurrence.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA and SRE roles, with strong expertise in Oracle Database, RAC, DataGuard, and Exadata. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in Linux systems, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices including containerization and CI/CD.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions for service availability and scalability, participating in on-call rotations, driving incident response and root cause analysis, and partnering with development teams to improve service architecture. You'll also be responsible for capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning.
