SaaS Site Reliability Engineer

Oracle Cloud SaaS Engineering plays a critical role in delivering and supporting best-of-breed cloud solutions to Oracle customers. As a SaaS Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of Oracle's cloud services.

The role combines traditional systems engineering with software development, requiring expertise in both infrastructure management and coding. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms, and various automation tools. The position demands strong technical depth in Linux systems, networking, and security, along with the ability to write efficient code in languages like Python.

As an SRE at Oracle, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of critical services, working closely with development teams to design and implement improvements in service architecture. You'll need to understand complex system behaviors, optimize resource utilization, and ensure robust monitoring and instrumentation are in place.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure (10+ years), with at least 5 years in senior technical roles. You should be comfortable with on-call responsibilities and working in a 24/7 environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be collaborating with various teams and representing SRE in important forums.
