Senior Applications Developer

Oracle is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to join their Fusion development team working on Global HR, Talent, Configuration Workbench and Compensation product areas.

The role involves analyzing, designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for commercial applications. You'll be responsible for writing code, completing programming tasks and performing testing/debugging of applications.

As a senior member of the software engineering division, you'll:

• Perform high-level design based on external specifications
• Design and implement changes to existing software architecture
• Build complex enhancements and resolve challenging bugs
• Create and execute unit tests and plans
• Review QA test plans and coordinate with QA/porting teams
• Ensure product quality and consistency

The position requires independent judgment and full competency in your expertise area. You may have opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior team members.

Required qualifications:

• BS/MS degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies or Database/SQL/PL/SQL
• Experience with product design & development

Preferred skills:

• Fusion Middleware platform experience
• ADF and cloud development exposure
• Oracle Applications/HCM functionality knowledge
