Senior Technical Operations Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to join their Sovereign Cloud team. This role is crucial in building and operating government, classified, and sovereign cloud regions with the same reliability and high performance as their public cloud. The position focuses on the operation of production environments, including systems and databases that support critical business operations.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis expertise in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support for complex production environment challenges. These challenges include managing immense growth, scaling, cloud leveraging, and maintaining extremely high performance and availability requirements.

As a Senior Technical Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for installing, monitoring, and optimizing production server hardware and software, while providing technical support for complex issues. You'll coordinate escalated support cases, lead technical resources and third-party vendors to resolution, and manage storage infrastructure of Oracle system and database appliances.

The role requires native-level Japanese language skills and business-level English proficiency, along with experience in Linux System Administration, Networking, Storage, Compute, and Virtualization. You'll work in a 24/7 support environment with rotation across day and night shifts, ensuring consistent system uptime in a Cloud environment.
