The Generative AI Code Assist Service team is developing innovative services at the intersection of AI and cloud infrastructure. Oracle Code Assist (OCA) is an AI-driven coding assistant that boosts developer productivity and code quality through code generation, annotation, explanation, unit test generation, documentation, and error fixing.
As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff in the Generative AI Code Assist Service team, you'll lead efforts to build distributed, scalable, high-performance AI services. Working with applied scientists and software engineers, you'll optimize model performance and scalability while building cutting-edge systems in this rapidly evolving field. This role requires technical leadership to guide mission-critical projects impacting Oracle's AI strategy.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in production-grade distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering, with deep expertise in languages like Go, Java, Python, or C++. Strong background in AI/ML, particularly generative AI, is essential. You'll need excellent communication skills to mentor engineers and drive consensus through data-driven approaches.

Requirements For Software Developer 5
- BS degree in Computer Science (MS or PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in production-grade distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering
- Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++
- Deep understanding of container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong background in AI/ML, with focus on generative AI
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring across teams
- Systematic problem-solving approach and sense of ownership
