Job Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) MultiCloud Innovation and Architecture team is seeking a Senior Principal AI Engineer to drive innovation in the multicloud space. This role combines cutting-edge AI technology with cloud infrastructure expertise to solve complex engineering and customer challenges.
The position sits within the Multicloud Services organization, whose mission is to support customer choice, transparency, and value in cloud infrastructure. We enable customers to maximize their Oracle investment alongside other cloud or on-premises infrastructure, building highly distributed, scalable, and resilient Multicloud solutions.
As a Senior Principal AI Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing expert architectural guidance focused on designing, optimizing, and scaling modern AI/ML-centric data platforms. You'll work with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases, while leveraging OCI Gen AI Services to create innovative solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Python, REST APIs, and big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

- Leading strategic engineering initiatives and building relationships across organizational levels
- Designing and implementing solutions from POC through production deployment
- Providing technical leadership in developing new solutions and products
- Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices

Responsibilities For Software Developer 5 - Multicloud
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and field teams to address complex AI/ML architecture challenges
- Partner with Engineering to build AI/ML-centric data platforms
- Provide strategic guidance on data strategy and Gen AI deployment patterns
- Design and evolve end-to-end AI-centric data architectures
- Develop potential solutions across various customer groups
- Prepare for complex product or solution-related inquiries
- Promote understanding of customer complexities to key stakeholders
Requirements For Software Developer 5 - Multicloud
- Experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks (MCP, OpenAI, Cohere, LangChain, CrewAI)
- Knowledge of RAG pipelines and vector DBs
- Familiarity with OCI Gen AI Services
- Solid Python and REST API skills
- Experience with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Proficiency in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 6 to 10+ years of experience
