Job Description

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) to join their US Government team in San Diego. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, where you'll design and implement end-to-end solutions for complex problems. As an FDSE, you'll work with Palantir's cutting-edge products and open-source technologies to create impactful solutions across various domains, from detecting insider trading to improving disaster relief.

The position requires a strong technical foundation, with expertise in languages like Java, Python, and TypeScript, along with experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. You'll be working with technologies including Postgres, Cassandra, Hadoop, and React, while leveraging Palantir's cloud infrastructure based on AWS.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 - $200,000 annually, plus additional benefits including comprehensive health insurance, unlimited PTO, 401k, and various family-friendly benefits. The position requires an active US Security clearance or the ability to obtain one, and while primarily based in San Diego, some travel may be necessary.
