Responsibilities For Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls, policies, and standards for AWS environments
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage secure infrastructure deployments
- Manage and secure Kubernetes or EKS clusters, including implementing best practices and governance
- Conduct threat modeling exercises and vulnerability assessments on production cloud infrastructure
- Tune and monitor Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and other security monitoring tools
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security into all stages of development
- Provide guidance on HIPAA compliance and other regulatory requirements as they pertain to infrastructure security
Requirements For Sr. Infrastructure Security Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud security engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS engineering experience (security or non-security role)
- Proficiency using AWS SDKs for Python, JavaScript, or Go for automation and security tasks
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and security best practices
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS security management and configuration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Preferred: experience implementing Service Control Policies (SCPs), HIPAA compliance understanding, and security threat modeling for cloud infrastructure
