Machine Learning Engineering Intern

Patreon is seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Intern to support their mission of funding the creative class. This 12-week summer internship (May - September 2025) will be hosted in San Francisco and New York offices, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per week in-office.

As an intern, you will:

• Ship a real-world feature impacting the creator economy, such as training ranking models for search and recommendations, optimizing notifications, or building new features for creator and content taxonomies.
• Be part of a world-class engineering team, working alongside engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists.
• Learn from experienced engineers who will mentor and guide you through technical challenges.
• Participate in Patreon's Intern Summit and experience San Francisco or New York City.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Solid knowledge of CS fundamentals, data structures, and machine learning
• Experience using Python for large scale data processing
• Willingness to learn and incorporate feedback
• Passion for Patreon and working with Creators
