PicnicHealth is revolutionizing how life sciences companies advance medicine while providing immediate value to the patients who power the research. Through direct patient engagement, state of the art machine learning, and scientific expertise, PicnicHealth uniquely curates 100% of consenting patients' medical records to generate the high quality and clinically-rich evidence that life sciences companies need, at a fraction of the cost of traditional study models. As a Product Engineer on the Data Production squad, you'll own features end-to-end, from planning out and structuring data models to designing and building front-end interfaces. You'll work at all levels of the stack — frontend (React, Apollo), backend and web services (Node, Python, GraphQL), infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes), and data (PostgreSQL, Redis). You'll need to be able to think independently and operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking on challenges ranging from creating new ways to visualize medical information to implementing data pipelines that support large language models.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving impact by solving difficult and ambiguous problems
  • Shipping code to production frequently, often daily
  • Architecting efficient and reusable systems
  • Mentoring engineers and contributing to building a world-class engineering culture

The ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of experience shipping code
  • A B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Experience driving multi-quarter and multi-team initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfort with full-stack development and SQL optimization
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Excitement about machine learning and its implications for user interfaces

PicnicHealth offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a remote-first environment with occasional travel for team gatherings. Join us in our mission to empower patients and advance medical research through innovative technology solutions.
