Job Description

Join Pixomondo's Innovation Lab as a Lead GenAI Engineer in a pivotal 6-month contract role where you'll spearhead the development of next-generation AI workflows and tools. This hands-on leadership position combines technical expertise with team mentorship, requiring you to architect scalable systems across local, server, and cloud deployments.

The role demands exceptional autonomy and strategic vision as you navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of generative AI. You'll be responsible for building and managing a Dockerized ComfyUI pipeline, designing robust backend infrastructure, and implementing clean, scalable systems. The position requires expertise in Python, Docker, and ComfyUI, with a strong focus on developing custom nodes and integrating open-source projects.

As a technical leader, you'll mentor a small team of developers, set engineering standards, and manage complex technical decisions. The role bridges engineering and creativity, making it ideal for someone who understands both technical excellence and innovative problem-solving. You'll work with cutting-edge AI technology while building entirely new pipelines and workflows, with the flexibility to prototype and iterate quickly.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of engineering experience, proven leadership abilities, and deep expertise in Docker-based deployments and system automation. Your experience with ComfyUI development is crucial, as is your ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of AI workflows in a creative, fast-paced environment while working with a respected company in the visual effects industry.

Working in a hybrid setting in Toronto, you'll be part of a company that values innovation, technical excellence, and equal opportunity. This position is perfect for a senior technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and wants to make a significant impact in the generative AI space.
