Senior ML Engineer/Researcher

PlayAI is at the forefront of generative voice and conversational LLMs, focusing on Speech Synthesis and Voice Cloning models to build state-of-the-art conversational AI products. Our mission is to create hyperrealistic conversational voice agents and voice AI infrastructure that enables businesses, developers, and creators to build human-like automated experiences.

As a Senior ML Engineer/Researcher, you'll join a rapidly growing startup that has raised $20M+ in seed funding and experienced significant growth with 1M monthly active users and 250K developers. You'll be part of a team pushing the boundaries of AI and shaping the future of human-LLM interaction.

Your role will involve:

• Designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines
• Experimenting with and improving Voice LLM architectures for enhanced quality, expressiveness, and latency
• Optimizing inference infrastructure for better cost-efficiency and performance
• Scaling and refining LLM distributed training infrastructure

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have proven experience in deep learning and a track record of success
• Show autonomous problem-solving abilities and a growth mindset
• Possess hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative Models, and Transformers
• Are proficient in PyTorch, Python, and C++
• Have familiarity with Speech Synthesis (preferred)
