Job Description

Polly, a pioneering SaaS company in the mortgage industry, is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join their Buyside Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with a modern tech stack in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment that's disrupting the mortgage capital markets space.

The position requires 6+ years of software development experience and offers the chance to work on mission-critical services using technologies like Python, Django, JavaScript, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. As a senior team member, you'll have significant influence on technical decisions and architecture while mentoring junior developers and maintaining high engineering standards.

Polly has established itself as a revolutionary force in the mortgage industry, providing a data-driven capital markets ecosystem that includes a Product and Pricing Engine (PPE) and Loan Trading Exchange. The company, founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Francisco, serves banks, credit unions, and mortgage lenders nationwide.

The role offers a compelling hybrid work environment, requiring three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) at their Innovation Hubs in either San Francisco or Dallas. Benefits include competitive compensation, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a flexible vacation policy. The company prides itself on maintaining a high bar for talent, with less than 5% of candidates receiving offers.

This position is ideal for experienced engineers who want to make a direct impact on an industry-disrupting platform while working with emerging technologies and a collaborative team. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in both frontend and backend technologies, distributed systems, and database management.

The company culture emphasizes individual impact and growth, with opportunities to work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams. Polly's commitment to innovation and its mission to modernize the traditionally under-innovated mortgage capital markets space makes this an exciting opportunity for those looking to contribute to meaningful industry transformation.
