Product Development Senior Engineer Electronics

The position reports directly to the Product Development Director and plays a crucial role in the Industrial & Construction Products business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product development, from requirement gathering to product improvement and new product introduction. They will work closely with customers to understand and solve unique requirements while managing environmental reporting activities.

Key responsibilities include leading new-product development projects, conducting research according to established scientific methods, working with product management to optimize product offerings, and managing environmental compliance (REACH, RoHS, Prop65). The role involves significant interaction with manufacturing teams, sales initiatives, and industry functions.

The position requires a BS in Engineering with minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Wire and cable experience is preferred, along with knowledge of six sigma problem solving fundamentals.
