Description For Engineer-WLAN Design Verification

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking an Engineer-WLAN Design Verification to join their team in Chennai, India. This role sits within their Hardware Engineering group and focuses on wireless technology integration with ARM-based SOC infrastructure.

As a Design Verification Engineer, you'll be working with a fast-paced Integrated Wireless Technology (IEEE 802.11) team. Your primary responsibilities will include developing hardware blocks, conducting various levels of design reviews, and delivering IP to the Subsystem team for complex SoC development. You'll be a crucial part of the WLAN subsystem, contributing to IP design and signing off cores to the SOC design team.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of wireless connectivity technologies (IEEE 802.11 standards), SoC architecture, and digital communication fundamentals. Experience with ARM CPUs, communications peripherals, and power management is essential. The role requires expertise in fixed-point implementation concepts and digital communication engines such as demodulators, deinterleavers, and baseband filters.

Responsibilities For Engineer-WLAN Design Verification

  • Develop HW blocks (IP design)
  • Conduct High/Mid/Low level Design review
  • Deliver IP to Subsystem team for making complex SoCs
  • Contribute to IP design
  • Sign-off the core to the SOC design team

Requirements For Engineer-WLAN Design Verification

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • 1-3 years experience in Digital Design with a leading chipset company
  • Knowledge in SoC architecture, including CPUs (preferably ARM)
  • Knowledge in Wireless connectivity technologies: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
  • Strong fundamentals in Wireless and Mobile communications, Information theory, Coding theory, Signal processing
  • Strong knowledge on fixed-point implementation concepts
  • Strong knowledge on Digital communication engines
